Dr. Scott Vander Ploeg

Veterinarian

Dr. Scott Vander Ploeg earned both his undergraduate degree and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University. He has a special interest in ophthalmology and dentistry, combining his love of medicine with a focus on improving pets’ quality of life. Outside the clinic, Dr. Vander Ploeg enjoys playing guitar, gardening, and fishing. He shares his life with his wife, Amanda.

Dr. Fulmer

Veterinarian

Dr. Fulmer was born in Garland, TX but spent most of her childhood in Nebraska. She returned to Texas to finish high school then pursued a Bachelor of Science at Angelo State University. After graduating she began working full time as a veterinary technician while also receiving a Master Degree in Veterinary Forensic Science from the University of Florida. She went on to attend veterinary school at Oklahoma State University and received her Doctorate in May 2021.

After completing school, Dr. Fulmer joined a mixed animal practice in Corsicana, TX before moving to a small animal only clinic in Tyler, TX in 2023. Her passions included horse-back riding, hiking, and animal rescue. She currently has three rescue dogs and six rescue cats (including two tripods!). Her life long dream is to start her own veterinary clinic and animal rescue facility.

Dr. Fulmer happily married her soulmate Lawrence in July 2024. Together they purchased their first home in nearby Troup, TX last November.
